The DarkCon Database Privacy Policy
Information provided to DarkCon by its attendees will primarily be used for current (and future) tracking & promotional activities such as (but not limited to) Progress Reports, attendee demographics and announcements of new guests etc… DarkCon is a DBA for The Dark Ones, Inc. and as such the DarkCon Database Policy is in addition to the Dark Ones Corporate Database Privacy Policy shown below.

The data on this list is for the use of the members of The Dark Ones, Inc. and their duly assigned agents; it is not to be copied or distributed without the express written permission of The Dark Ones, Inc. Information provided to The Dark Ones is, in part, gathered for the purpose of contacting those interested in supporting and/or attending events sponsored by (or being supported by) The Dark Ones or their members. Attending an event sponsored by The Dark Ones, Inc. constitutes an agreement to allow The Dark Ones, Inc, its agents or assignees the right to use your image and/or likeness, by media now known or hereafter devised, for advertising and/or other promotional purposes.

Guidelines for the Use of Dark Ones Communication Channels
The Dark Ones maintain a ‘database’ of contact information, and use digital platforms (currently Discord and Facebook), to communicate information about our events, to run virtual gatherings & meetings, and develop an online community.
Database – Information from this resource is provided primarily thru the HxEx event document and Guild Contact list.
Digital Platforms – These are primarily used to communicate about our events and to allow our followers to share content and socialize. These interactions are administered by our officers.
Anyone wishing to use these resources should contact the appropriate officer (the Chief Historian maintains the list of these personnel).

The Dark Ones Weapons Policy [Events at Private Homes]
Real weapons (and realistic props) are restricted at Dark Ones events.
Exceptions:
— We encourage Bladed Weapons be peace-bonded and sheathed.
— Costume pieces approved by designated staff.
— Designated Staff.
Anyone brandishing a weapon in a way deemed unsafe by Designated Staff will be asked to put the item in a car or other offsite location.

The Dark Ones Smoking Policy [Events at Private Homes]
There will be Designated Non-Smoking areas at each event. Signs will be posted.
Some Examples: Inside the home / The Dance Floor / Entries to Non-Smoking Areas (Like a back porch)
Smoking and Vaping will only be permitted in areas where ashtrays or ashcans are provided.
Please respect the non-smoking areas so that everyone can enjoy the party.
